Shamanic Journeying

Exploring Our Themes Through Shamanic Practice
This monthly-meeting small group will explore our monthly themes through shamanic practices. Led by UU minister and shamanic practitioner, Rev. Laura Horton-Ludwig, participants will learn and practice in the tradition of Core Shamanism, using a safe and ethical method of steady drumming that helps your mind shift into a more meditative state.

You do not have to have previous experience with Shamanism or shamanic journeying.

Can you tell me more about shamanic journeying?
The basic practice involves journeying in your mind to what Rev. Horton-Ludwig's tradition calls “non-ordinary reality,” the home of countless compassionate helping spirits. You’ll get to meet them and form relationships with them that can endure and grow for the rest of your life.

What else happens in the group?
You will get to know your fellow group-mates at a deep soul-level, as you share what you experienced in our various in-group journeys. You’ll also get support for integrating what you experience in your journeys into your daily life, so your journeys can have a powerful, positive impact on you and your world.

You can get a more detailed understanding of the group by watching Rev. Horton-Ludwig's overview video below.
