This year’s overarching frame is The Gifts of Our Faith. We focus on ten beloved UU values and explore their potential to shape us and in turn shape the world.
How do these values offer us both challenge and comfort? What might it mean to place them at the center of our living and loving? What promise do they hold for us individually as well as collectively? These are some of questions that will guide and bless our journey in the year ahead.
Here is the list of our 2023-24 themes:
The Gift of...
January: Liberating Love
February: Justice & Equity
* Important Note: It’s exciting to know that our wider faith community will be exploring these themes as well. As part of our UUA’s Article II Commission work, a proposed new statement of UUA purposes and values has been developed. Our 2023-24 Soul Matters themes were created with that proposal in mind, in the hope of supporting subscribing UU congregations as they do the sacred work of discerning which of our beloved UU values will best guide our faith as we engage today’s world.
See our "Article II Connections" worksheet which lifts up how our themes are connected to the Article II proposal.
