An online small group to explore our monthly themes through creative writing!
Our monthly meeting UU writers groups are a chance for UUs from around the country to come together to explore our monthly themes and engage spiritual discernment through the art of creative writing!
Using whatever writing practice you are most comfortable with (journaling, poetry, prose, storytelling), participants share, inspire, support and witness each other.
Each month participants receive a packet that contains 4-5 writing exercise projects to choose from. Based on your chosen exercise, you work on a writing project prior to our monthly meeting. At the meeting we not only share the pieces we wrote but we also engage "in group" writing exercises together to open up the monthly theme for us in a new way. We don't critique each other's writing. Instead we respond using Soul Matters deep listening and discernment techniques to create an environment of self-discovery.
Spaces still available!
Our three planned groups are filled.
But we have additional folks interested so we are currently trying to create a fourth group.
If you are interested, please email Rev. Scott Tayler (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the following information:
1. What time zone you are in
2. Is daytime group or evening better for you? Or is either fine?
Rev. Scott will then email you back right away with details and options.
Your Group Leaders
Dr. Andrea Natalia Naranjo Erazo and Rev. Kaaren Anderson.
