Video Storytelling

Exploring Our Themes Through Narrative & Digital Storytelling
Meets monthly from February to May
When we bring stories to life, they - in return - bring us to life! That's what this unique 4-month small group journey is all about.

Participants will learn the skills of video storytelling
and use them to bring their own personal stories or creative reflections to life.  Alongside the learning there will be space for sharing, personal reflection and spiritual discernment. Together we will form a small and trusted community, sharing the gifts of inspiration, accountability, support and witness. It's a unique and powerful way to explore and express your connection to our monthly themes!

Who is this group for?  You don't have to be familiar with digital or video technology. The desire to explore our monthly themes through the visual medium is all you need. Most participants will participate for their own spiritual nourishment. But we expect some will hope to share their videos with with their families or church community. For instance, you might be a worship committee member wanting to create visual meditations for worship. Or maybe you want to make a generational video so your family can hold onto fond memories or capture the wisdom of an elder.

Minimal equipment needed: You need access to a computer (Apple or PC), a cell phone that can take pictures. To avoid extra cost, we will use free and/or very affordable video editing programs.
