Advanced Facilitator Training - March 2, 2026
This 2 hour training covers advanced facilitation tips, including start-up meeting strategies, handling challenging group dynamics, check-in & check-out approaches, and scripts to introduce the listening and response rounds.
Soul Matters founder, Rev. Scott Tayler, leads this training in a lecture-oriented style, with room for questions. Rev. Scott stays on after the webinar with those who want help with more complex and unique challenges your are facing in your groups. New Facilitator Training - Coming August & September 2026
This two-hour online training for new small group facilitators covers the Soul Matters facilitation model, our unique approach to deep and disciplined listening, tips for handling facilitation challenges and start up strategies. Soul Matters founder and Team lead, Rev. Scott Tayler, leads the training. Designed for new facilitators but also serves as a great tune-up training for long-time facilitators!

Taste of Soul - How To Training (single-session event)
This unique training teaches you how to run a "Taste of Soul" event at your church. Taste of Soul is a drop in meeting, usually held after Sunday service, at which people interested in joining a Soul Matters small group can experience one first hand, in an abbreviated form. Our Team Lead, Rev. Scott Tayler, leads the training. He will cover the structure of these meetings, best practices, facilitating tips and marketing strategy.
It is one of the most effective ways to get people excited about joining your small groups! We highly recommended that you take our New Facilitator Training prior to this training. Facilitator Trainings Tailored to Your Congregation
