An Online Small Group Exploring the Gifts and Insights of Spiritual Practice!

Each month, participants explore a different spiritual practice from the world religions and do a personal practice inspired by that month's exploration.
Participants get a packet that provides background about how the featured practice shows up in one or more of the world religions. The packet also offers a variety of personal practices for participants to choose from and do on their own prior to the group meeting. You can check out a sample packet here. In the group meetings, participants debrief their experience and explore together the impact and insights that arose from engaging the packet and the personal practice they chose. Additionally, participants do a brief in-group practice related to the featured spiritual practice. This exposes participants to another simple practice and helps bond the group through shared experience. You don't have to have previous experience with spiritual practice or have a regular practice of your own. However, our hope is that by getting a taste of these spiritual practices, you will be motivated to weave one or two into your regular daily or weekly routines! What kinds of spiritual practices are explored? Well, they run the gamut, from breathing practices and being with grief to tarot cards and right speech. Get a complete overview here. Rev. Sandra (she/her) is an experienced teacher and facilitator, a published poet and creator of the newsletter Poet in Spirit. A Unitarian Universalist minister, she has served congregations for over 20 years. She facilitates our online Creativity Matters and Poet in Spirit groups as well as Practice Matters.
