Our online small group exploring the monthly themes
through spiritual practice!
through spiritual practice!
This monthly-meeting small group engages our monthly themes through spiritual practice. Participants learn how our themes show up in spiritual practices and then experience a version of those practices for themselves. They also explore examples of how these practices show up in various world religions.
You don't have to have previous experience with spiritual practice or have a regular practice of your own. However, our hope is that by getting a taste of these spiritual practices, you will be motivated to weave one or two into your regular daily or weekly routines! A different practice is covered each month. Group members receive a monthly packet that provides background about that month's spiritual practice. The packet also includes guidance about how to prepare yourself to get the most out of the practice and a variety of options to choose from to do the practice on your own prior to the group meeting. Then, at the group meeting, participants debrief their experience and explore together the impact and insights that arose from trying that practice out. Additionally, participants will do a shorter in-group practice related to the monthly theme. This not only gives you another simple practice to experience, but also bonds the group through shared experience. What kinds of spiritual practices will the group explore? Well, they run the gamut, from breathing practices and walking a labyrinth to fasting, observing the Sabbath and Lectio Divina. You can get a complete overview HERE. It's a wonderfully unique way to explore our monthly themes, pursue self-discovery and deepen your spiritual life. We hope you will join the adventure! Here are the sign up details...
