Poet in Spirit: Come Home to Yourself
Online Group
Our Poet in Spirit online group invites you to connect more deeply with yourself, express yourself creatively and trust your own voice. Each meeting will revolve around the Soul Matters monthly theme and include a poem by an established poet and a prompt carefully crafted from the poem. There will be short reflections on the poems and themes that invite deeper exploration. In-class time will also be devoted to writing, discussing the writing process and sharing what you’ve written—all in a supportive environment without critique. Writers of all levels and genres are welcome.

Workshop Vision
The focus of the workshop is to explore and celebrate the writing process rather than a polished product. There are two core components: 1. impromptu writing and 2. sharing without critique. The impromptu (in-class) writing time offers the gift of welcoming spontaneity and surprise and makes it possible to put aside judgment and perfectionism. The sharing without critique enables participants to delve into their inner world, reconnect to the deeper parts of themselves and discover their own thoughts, feelings and gifts without worry of how the work will be received by others.
