Spiritual companions devote themselves to nourishing and supporting the spiritual life of others, but don't always have a space for their own nourishment and spiritual exploration.
Soul Matters for Spiritual Companions aims to fill this need. Using the practices of deep and disciplined listening, this monthly-meeting online group helps participants pursue self-discovery and enrich their spiritual life. One way to think of these groups is that we are gathering to do group spiritual direction together using the Soul Matters small group model and reflection packets. Each monthly meeting focuses on a different spiritual theme. Here are those themes and the month in which they will be explored: September: Beginnings October: Courage November: Healing December: (no meeting in December) January: Thresholds February: Commitment March: Balance April: Emergence May: Play Participants will receive a reflection packet 3-4 weeks prior to each month meeting. These packets include spiritual exercises and introspective questions for participants to engage before each meeting. The packets also include a rich array of optional resources (quotes, videos, articles, movie and music) for participants who want to dig deeper into the themes on their own.
