Music ministries are central to the spiritual life of our congregations and yet adequate funding frequently remains elusive. These two webinars will engage music ministry leaders in a discussion about the challenges and solutions to creating vibrant music programs on a limited budget.
We will explore questions such as:
All Are Welcome: This collaborative discussion is not just for paid music staff. Worship staff and lay worship team members are encouraged to come.
Success Stories on Hand: This will be an open and collaborative discussion but we will also recruit some folks ahead of time to share their success stories!
Offered Twice: To make it easier for all to attend, we will hold this discussion twice:
No Charge or Pre-registration: There is no charge for the webinar and no registration is required.
Online Sign In: Simply join the webinars by following this link: https://zoom.us/j/5857099120
Recording Available After: Both sessions will be recorded and posted on the AUUMM website and the Soul Matters Webinar Recordings page.
We will explore questions such as:
- Where do you find affordable but quality music?
- How do you fill your program’s folders with legal copies of music with a limited budget?
- What are some sources for inexpensive instruments? What instruments do you really need?
- What percentage of the budget should be dedicated to your music program?
- What are examples of creative and effective fundraising?
- Where and how can one find on-going support from other music colleagues?
- How can systemic strategies (such as theme-based ministry) help with the challenge of limited budgets?
