Video Storytelling

A Creativity Matters Workshop Journey
April 17-24, 2021
Join us on this one week (8-day) journey in which you will learn the skills of video storytelling and then use them to create and complete your own video. Video lengths will be under 3 minutes.
The Journey includes:
  • A 3-hour Saturday start up workshop (April 17, 9am-Noon pacific/Noon-3pm eastern)
  • A 1 ½ hour Sunday workshop (April 18, 1pm pacific/4pm eastern)
  • A daily one-hour, online drop-in Q & A Zoom session led by Elizabeth to offer “hands on” zoom support as you work on your video. These zoom sessions are optional but a key way of supporting the group as a learning community. Recordings of these drop-in sessions will be posted for those who miss. (April 19-23)
  • A private “pop-up” Facebook learning community/ group for participants to stay in touch, share progress and ask for help throughout the week.
  • A one-on-one personalized tutorial with Elizabeth to help you with the skills and spiritual reflection that goes into creating your video story. 
  • A final Saturday celebration and closing session including our video showing’s (April 24, 9am-Noon pacific/Noon-3pm eastern)​

Our Facilitator
Elizabeth McKoy has been a Theatre and Visual Teaching Artist, Creativity Coach, Arts Curriculum Trainer, Professional Theatre Director and non-profit Arts leader for over 25 years. Elizabeth also founded  Soulster.org - a new creativity non-profit focused on growing and celebrating creativity.    Elizabeth has been a UU for many years and is also a passionate acrylic painter who loves sketching, writing, singing, dancing, cooking, creating digital stories, directing musical theatre and hanging with her kooky family of 5 kids, socialist NYC mother,  supportive husband and her 17 year + old goldendoodle dog.
