Creativity Matters Individual Packets
The Model & Key Components
Project-Based Packets: Like our other small group curriculum, Creativity Matters packets are built around our monthly themes. What makes these packets unique is that each contains creative exercises for group members to work on prior to their group meeting. The packets also contain inspirational material and reflection questions to get your creative juices flowing.
The project options include such things as: collage, storytelling, scrapbooking, sketching, photography, creative writing, watercolor painting, fabric arts, sculpture, movement, music, and more. Again, all projects are designed for everyone - no technical expertise or honed artistic skill required!
Group Meetings for Sharing & Reflection: We suggest group members meet monthly to share the projects and insights that emerged from the exercise/project they picked. We encourage you to use our Soul Matters deep and disciplined listening practices to guide the sharing about what insights arise from the projects.
A Creative Journal to Companion You: Another strongly encouraged component is the use of a creative journal. Each monthly packet contains journaling prompts and suggestions for capturing stories, images, ideas and feelings that come up.
Facilitator Guides: Along with a monthly project packet for participants, we also give you a facilitator guide each month that provides your facilitators with tips, openings, creative warm ups and in-group activities.
More Training and Support for Facilitators:
Facilitators can watch our recorded online facilitator training on our Recorded Webinars Page. We also host 3 facilitator check in and support calls during the year, in October, January & April. Facilitators might also consider joining the online Creativity Matters group run by one of our Soul Matters team. See our Online Groups Page for more info about these groups.
