Small Group Packets: This is our core offering. Each month, core subscribers receive a new small group packet on the current monthly theme. These packets are designed to support our unique approach to small group experience and include spiritual exercises, questions that encourage reflection on daily living and 5-7 pages of recommended resources that help participants explore the themes in more depth. While most subscribers use the packets as is, you are welcome to adapt them to your unique setting.

Worship Research Packets: Our monthly worship packet points to over 20 pages worth of resources for all aspects of worship: from opening words and meditations to music, sermon seeds and recommended sermons. We also do your online permission research for you, noting when the pieces we suggest have been authorized for online use. It's important to note that we point to worship material rather than publish material, a crucial distinction as we work hard to follow copyright law and fair use practices. This is why it is rare that our worship packets include the full text of the pieces mentioned. Our aim is to find and curate the best material out there related to each monthly theme and then point to where you can find it. Think of our worship packets as a guide to the research we have done for you, not a publication.

Religious Education Resources: Our monthly children's RE packet includes over 40 pages of building blocks to help you create your own own unique theme-based learning environments. We have a very active Facebook support group for religious educators. Additionally, our Director of RE Resources, Katie Covey, hosts a monthly online "Re Leaders Lab" where RE professionals plan together, share ideas and offer support. We offer a wide variety of RE resources. Check them out HERE.

New Subscriber Orientations: Two-three times a year (usually August, January and May), we host a webinar for new subscribers to Soul Matters. All key leaders are encouraged to attend, including small group facilitators, worship leaders and RE leaders. These orientation webinars review the resources we offer, go into detail about the Soul Matters approach to small groups and theme-based ministry and answer any questions leaders have.

Small Group Facilitator Support: For a small fee, we offer in-depth online trainings three times a year for small group facilitators new to Soul Matters. We also offer once-a-month small groups for facilitators, led by our team lead and founder of Soul Matters, Rev. Scott Tayler. Each monthly meeting is run as a small group and follows the packet for the upcoming month. This allows facilitators to have a “dry run” of the session they will be leading the following month. Along the way, Rev. Tayler pauses to point out tips and group process.

Online Daily Inspiration for All of Your Members: We have a Facebook inspiration page and an Instagram page that are open to all members of participating Soul Matters congregations. These provide your small group participants and church members with inspiration on the themes throughout the week. It functions like an online devotional and supports members as they weave the theme into their daily living. This Facebook page can serve as a tool to enhance your congregation’s own Facebook page. All you have to do is "repost" our posts to your congregation’s Facebook page. A more comprehensive Social Media Toolbox is sold separately from the core subscription.

Online Leadership Collaboration Labs: We host a number of online collaboration meetings each month so leaders can share additional resources with each other and talk about engaging the themes in their various ministries. Currently we hold separate online meetings for ministers, religious educators, music directors and lay worship team members.

Leadership and Implementation Tools: In addition to our monthly resource packets and support opportunities, we regularly produce a variety of free tools to help members integrate our themes into their programming. These implementation tools include such things as small group training guides, webinars, charts that link monthly holidays to the themes and music playlists built around the monthly themes. We also offer affordable resources to support your social media and newcomer ministries.
